Post-Application Process

If you applied through the standard visa processing service, UK Visas and Immigration state that it will take approximately 3 weeks from your biometrics appointment date to receive a decision on your application.

If your application is approved, you will receive an Entry Clearance visa vignette in your passport. This visa will be valid for 30 or 90 days – check the validity dates in the top right corner of your visa vignette. These dates indicate the period during which you need to enter the UK to validate your visa.
