Application Essentials for a Short-Term Study Visa Courses

Important Information:

  • 1: Complete the London School of Business and Computing application form and ensure you attach copies of all your academic documents, a photo, and your passport.
  • 2: Within two days, we will inform you whether you are eligible for your chosen program. If you are eligible, we will send you an offer letter and an invoice for the fees.
  • 3: After you have paid your fees, we will provide you with a certificate of enrolment, which you can use to apply for your visa.
  • You must be living outside the UK to apply.
  • The application form is completed and submitted online.
  • A visa application fee £200 and the Immigration Health Surcharge (£776) are required during the application.
  • You will need to schedule and attend a biometrics appointment at a local Visa Application Centre.

Required Documents:

  • A current passport with a blank page for your visa.
  • Written confirmation of acceptance onto an English language course (such as a visa letter from London School of Business and Computing).
  • Financial documentation showing you have sufficient funds for your living expenses. Learn more about providing evidence
  • Proof of payment for your course fees or evidence of sufficient funds to pay (as stated in your visa letter from London School of Business and Computing).

  • Written consent from your parent(s) or legal guardian(s) if you are under 18.
  • Tuberculosis test results, if applicable (depending on your home country).

Application Steps:

  1. Access the government website and click ‘apply now’
    • Confirm your visa type: Short-term study visa.
  2. Choose the country where you’ll provide your biometrics
    • This is where you will attend an appointment to provide your fingerprints, photograph, and supporting documents; usually, this is the country where you reside, or a neighbouring country if there are no Visa Application Centres in your country.
  3. Register your email to access your application later
    • Ensure your email is accurate.
  4. Fill out the application form
    • Provide your personal information, contact details, passport details, course details, travel history, planned arrival date, etc. Answer all questions honestly and in line with the information in your visa letter. If unsure, seek assistance from a local immigration adviser.
  5. Make the necessary payments
    • Immigration Health Surcharge (which grants access to most NHS services free of charge while in the UK): £776.
    • Visa application fee: £200.
  6. Submit the application form
  7. Schedule a biometrics appointment
