Job Overview:
The London School of Business & Computing (LSBC) is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Academic & Admin Support professional to provide essential administrative and academic assistance to both faculty and students. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation of academic processes, compliance with regulatory standards, and the effective coordination of timetables and student support services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to academic staff and students.
- Assist in the development, coordination, and management of academic timetables.
- Support lecturers with the preparation of teaching materials, assessment documentation, and classroom management.
- Offer guidance and first-line support to students regarding academic policies, timetables, and general inquiries.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation of student data, attendance, and assessment records.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of reports required by regulatory bodies such as QAA, ASIC, and Pearson.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the UK Higher Education system, including academic regulations, quality assurance standards, and compliance requirements.
- Liaise with external bodies such as QAA, ASIC, and Pearson to ensure institutional compliance and accreditation.
- Monitor and support the implementation of academic policies and procedures to maintain quality assurance.
- Coordinate and facilitate academic meetings, including minute-taking and follow-up actions.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc) or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working within the UK Higher Education sector.
- In-depth knowledge of QAA, ASIC, and Pearson standards and operations.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in timetable creation and scheduling.
- Familiarity with student information systems and virtual learning platforms.
- Knowledge of academic quality assurance processes and standards.
