How LSBC is governed

Leadership guided by collective oversight

The London School of Business & Computing’s organisational structure is overseen by a Board of Governance.

The Board appoints the Principal, who leads the institution and is responsible for academic direction and supervision. Its membership brings together directors, senior managers, independent external members and a Chair to provide balanced scrutiny of the school’s affairs.

Operational committees manage essential areas of LSBC’s work and maintain clear reporting lines to the Board. Together, these bodies support sound decisions, effective controls and continuous improvement.

Board of Governance and its six supporting committees

Board of Governance

Strategy, resources and institutional direction

The Board establishes LSBC’s strategy and evaluates the management and use of its resources. It normally meets three times each year and aligns its protocols with recognised principles of good governance.

Its supporting committees provide focused scrutiny across academic quality, student consultation, programme review, finance, remuneration, internal audit, control and risk management.

Academic governance

Protecting standards and the student experience

The Academic Board supports the Board of Governance by overseeing academic matters. Its work is reinforced by specialist committees responsible for assessment, admissions, standardisation, student matters and discipline.

Departments and their respective heads implement committee decisions and report on progress. This ensures that academic policy is translated into consistent practice across the school.
