By enrolling on any LSBC programme, students agree to the terms of this Policy. It applies to all programmes whether delivered on-site, online, or under a UK Short-Term Study Visa.

1. Course Fees

The tuition fee for each programme is confirmed at the point of enrolment. Fees are payable in Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are due upon confirmation of enrolment.

  • Students may pay in full or, where agreed in writing, via a monthly instalment plan. Each instalment falls due on the same calendar date in successive months from the enrolment date.
  • Certificates, transcripts, and references will not be issued until all outstanding fees have been paid in full.
  • Bank transfer charges for international payments are the student’s responsibility.

2. Cooling-Off Period & Refunds

2.1 Cooling-Off Period

Students may cancel their enrolment within 14 calendar days of the programme start date (the Cooling-Off Period) without giving a reason. A refund will be issued for the tuition fee paid, less a £150 administration charge.

To request a refund during the Cooling-Off Period:

  • Email finance@lsbc.uk with your name, student ID, programme, and reason for cancellation.
  • LSBC will provide a Refund Request Form within 2 working days. Return the completed form to the Finance Team.
  • Approved refunds are processed within 14 working days and returned via the original payment method.
2.2 After the Cooling-Off Period

Once the Cooling-Off Period has passed, tuition fees are non-refundable, except in the following exceptional circumstances:

  • A serious medical condition preventing study, supported by medical evidence.
  • Bereavement of an immediate family member during the study period.
  • Visa refusal — students on in-person or Short-Term Study Visa programmes who receive a formal UKVI refusal prior to travel (see Section 2.3).

A material change to the programme made by LSBC that substantially alters the course the student enrolled on.

All exceptional circumstances applications must be submitted to finance@lsbc.uk with supporting documentation within 30 days of the event. LSBC’s decision is final.

2.3 Visa Refusal Refund

Students requiring a UK visa who receive a formal refusal from UKVI before travelling may apply for a refund of tuition fees, less a £150 administration charge, provided:

  • The official Home Office refusal letter is submitted to LSBC within 14 days of the decision.
  • The student has not yet commenced the programme.
  • The refund application is submitted within 30 days of the refusal date.

UK visa application fees paid to the Home Office are not refundable by LSBC.

3. Late Payments

Students must fulfil all payment obligations on agreed due dates. If you are unable to pay on time, notify the Finance Team in writing before the due date, explaining the reason and proposing a revised date.

  • Payments not received within 7 days of the due date (with no advance notice given) will incur a £50 late payment charge.
  • Interest may be applied to balances that remain unpaid beyond this point.
  • Access to learning platforms and teaching sessions may be suspended where an account is in arrears for more than 14 days. Access is reinstated once all outstanding amounts are settled.

4. Debt Recovery

Where fees remain unpaid after LSBC’s reasonable attempts to resolve the matter directly, LSBC reserves the right to refer the balance to an external Debt Recovery Agency. All associated collection costs will become the student’s liability in addition to the original debt.

5. Changes to Programmes

LSBC may make necessary amendments to programme content, schedules, or delivery arrangements. Where changes are material, affected students will be offered a suitable alternative or a pro-rata refund for undelivered elements. If an intake is cancelled by LSBC, all fees paid will be refunded in full within 14 working days.

6. Termination of Enrolment

LSBC may terminate a student’s enrolment for serious breach of institutional policy, disruptive conduct, non-payment of fees, or misrepresentation of qualifications. Where termination results from student misconduct, no refund will be issued.
